Lithium Energy Japan was founded in December 2007 following the merger of three companies: GS Yuasa International Ltd., Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. It specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of large lithium-ion batteries.
In the world of today, various initiatives have begun to achieve the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)". Regarding global warming countermeasures, one of the targets for the SDGs, the Japanese government declared in October 2020, to achieve carbon neutrality (a decarbonized society) by 2050 by achieving net-zero carbon dioxide emissions, and has started a "Green Growth Strategy", attempting to lead to the next growth by actively taking measures against global warming.
Effective use of electric power is indispensable for decarbonization , and the storage of electricity is necessary for that purpose.
Our lithium-ion batteries are just the core for the storage of electricity. Therefore, they are required to be utilized more widely than ever in not only EVs and PHEVs , but also energy regeneration systems such as railways and new transportation, and renewable energy systems such as solar and wind power.
We, ahead of other countries, have succeeded to realize mass production of large lithium-ion batteries, and have been providing those batteries for environmentally-friendly cars and renewable energy systems.
In the automotive industry pursuing high performance and safety, based on our "Monozukuri" (product creation) experiences as one of our advantages, we are going to keep delivering the products with reliability for various social infrastructures, and to contribute widely to realize the world-wide carbon neutrality.
